Sales Engineer

Responsibilities & Duties
- Learn the technical engineering details of Systecon products & services.

Application EngineerÂ
Develop and provide preliminary design and quotation of packaged systems, and coordinate sales efforts and engineering and final design of systems. Provide support to the Project Manager.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the coordination of the required equipment design and or specification at the project inception with the project manager, sales representative and /or the consulting engineer.
- Develop equipment specifications, preliminary equipment layouts (e.g. scaled plan view drawings) for use by consulting engineers to aid in layout of mechanical equipment rooms.
- Responsible for the development of budget or estimated pricing for equipment proposals, for obtaining major equipment component pricing from vendors along with supporting literature for bid and budget proposals, and the development of final bid proposals from consulting engineer's project plans and specifications.
- Responsible for the proper selection of equipment components (e.g. chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, heat exchanger, piping, etc.), and for coordinating with Purchasing the purchase of major mechanical and electrical components.
- Coordinate with Project Manager at time of order on in-house equipment design and control functions with engineering and production areas on both a verbal and written (using schematic design tools and PIF writer) basis.
- Responsible for equipment submittal review and accuracy before submittals are sent to field for approval by consulting engineer, and for coordinating and field or submittal review change orders from the contractor and/or consulting engineer with in-house engineering and production areas.
- Develop Order Status Report (OSR) in conjunction with the overall project schedule. Coordinate with the Project Manager on key milestones within the schedule
- Work to improve customer relations and promote Modular HVAC systems.
- Attend coordination meetings as required by the Project Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Associates Degree in the Electrical, Electronics, and/or Mechanical Engineering Technologies. Two to three years experience in a related field. Experience with PC, Microsoft Office Suite. 2D/3D CAD capabilities preferred.
- Understanding, and/or desire to learn functions of electronic controllers, instruments, supporting field transmitters, and concepts of variable water volume pumping.
- Knowledge and comprehension of project building plans, designs, and specifications as developed by consulting engineers; of equipment material compatibility with different mediums; and, of electrical power components, their uses, proper selection and/or sizing.
Project Manager
Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned projects from inception to final close out. Verify compliance with project specifications and plans, and reconcile Systecon scope to customer's expectations. Coordinate with Application Engineer to complete internal order entry to Design. Develop a schedule, and manage an internal Order Status Report to maintain internal deadlines to meet shipping commitments. Manage project costs and prepare monthly cost reports for review with Upper Management. Coordinate sales efforts and engineering and final design of systems. Interface with any installation personnel as needed, including any sub contractors hired by Systecon. Coordinate on site start-up and commissioning.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the coordination of the required equipment design and/or specification after order with the Customer and /or the Consulting Engineer. Potential out of office face to face meetings may be required.
- Coordinate with Application Engineer to process orders efficiently using available tools to convey design requirements concisely and accurately for use by the Design Engineering department.
- Review project contract or purchase order with Upper Management for acceptance and adherence to document
stipulations. - Develop Schedule of Values that are agreed to with the customer. Coordinate with Systecon Accounting Group on monthly to insure any requisitions for payment are issued in accordance with the contract.
- Develop a project schedule using Microsoft Project. Schedule and lead meetings to maintain project milestones as
required. - Develop internal Order Status Report (OSR) to determine internal and external benchmarks that must be met to meet delivery commitments.
- Coordinate and purchase major buy out equipment/components as required. Approve and coordinate payment of
vendor invoices. - Communicate consistently with the external customer(s) regarding submittals, production release and schedule, and delivery. Manage changes as they develop throughout the review process.
- Responsible for equipment submittal review and accuracy before submittals are sent to field for approval by
consulting engineer, and for coordinating and field or submittal review change orders from the contractor and/or
consulting engineer with in-house engineering and production areas. - Prepare monthly work in progress (WIP) reports for assigned projects for internal review with Upper Management
- Coordinate with the Service Group regarding equipment start-up and commissioning.
- Coordinate with the Construction Group on the on site installation of the equipment .
- Coordinate with necessary Groups to develop and provide final project close out documents
- Attend project VDC/BIM meeting and coordinate with assigned internal VDC/BIM coordinator. Coordination will
include coordination with electrical, mechanical, control, fire, and/or plumbing contractors. On turnkey projects this will include coordination with Systecon's Construction Group. - Work to improve customer relations and promote Modular HVAC systems.
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Associates Degree in the Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering Technologies or Building Sciences, Bachelor's preferred.

Two to three years experience in a related field. Project Management experience preferred.

Field Service Technician
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installation supervision and start-up at customer’s facility(s) to ensure full functionality according to Systecon Inc. specifications and will provide customer training upon start-up completion. They will provide on-site and remote technical support to help troubleshoot and repair/replace Systecon equipment and accurately complete and submit all service documentation following Systecon procedures and guidelines. The Field Service Technician will mark-up drawings and sequence of operation and return to engineering so final as-builds can be completed. They will work closely with 2nd level support to ensure Systecon equipment is maintained to company standards and manage Systecon service tools and spare parts inventory to ensure accurate inventory of assigned company assets.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent, plus two year associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial HVAC and DDC Controls and/or PLC/HMI/communication protocol program understanding, writing and revising, and troubleshooting experience is required.
- Ability to read and understand PLC programming and ladder schematics, mechanical and electrical drawings, sequence of operations (SOO), and electronic/mechanical system designs.
- Must understand BAS Communication Protocols. (BACnet, LonWorks, ModBus, ETC.)
- Service Standards - Project ownership and customer satisfaction.
- Computer Knowledge - MS-Windows, MS-Excel, MS-Outlook, and network knowledge, along with various controller programming software platforms.
- Ability to work independently; professional appearance, good communication skills and professional conduct are a necessity.
- Team oriented; flexible and adaptive to company, department, and customer requirements.
- Budget conscience.
- Must be fluent in English. Spanish and other languages are a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Service Support Technician

The ideal candidate is one with good organizational skills & the ability to take ownership of document control, filing of reports, & site coordination with vendors. Electrician - Entry LevelÂ
Under close supervision, assist others in installation and maintenance electrical equipment such as large control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, switches, motors, etc. Test circuits with testing equipment and report reading for diagnosis by others. Under direction, perform wiring of ordinary light circuits; setting circuit breakers; repairing switches, small motors and simple starting and control devices, replacing lights and fuss, and minor trouble shooting. Must be able to run EMT and Ridged conduit and read blue prints and wiring diagrams. Complete all quality forms to be reviewed by supervisor. First or second shift full time position available.
Requirements: Minimum two years of formal technical training, or equivalent.
Physical requirements: Standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, bending and lifting a minimum of 70lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and step ladders.

Electrician - Experienced Journeyman
Must be able to run EMT and Ridged conduit and read blue prints and wiring diagrams. Installation and final wiring of MCC, VFD, combo starters, motors, distribution boxes, control panels, light ECT. Complete all quality forms. First or second shift full time position available.
Requirements: Minimum four years of experience and three to four years technical school training.
Physical requirements: Standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, bending and lifting a minimum of 70lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and step ladders.

Mechanical Assembler Level 1 (Entry Level)
Duties include working from schematics, prints & bills of material. Under close supervision will pull own parts, level bases, install pumps, motors, pipes, valves, sensing lines, copper pipe, thread pipe, etc. Will assist in the performance of hydro and pressure testing of system and complete all quality control forms. First or second shift full time position available.
Requirements: Minimum two years of experience or two years of industrial maintenance training or equivalent.
Physical requirements: Squatting, kneeling, bending and lifting a minimum of 70lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and step ladders.

Mechanical Assembler Level 2
Duties will include assembly work of high complexity. Must be able to work independently from schematics, prints and bills of material. Must be able to pull own parts, level bases, install pumps, motors, pipes, valves, sensing lines, copper pipe, thread pipe, etc. Must be able to perform hydro and pressure testing of system and complete all quality control forms. First or second shift full time position available.

Welder
Must be able to fabricate support brackets from prints and install on bases. Operate overhead bridge cranes and set equipment. Thread and install pipe. Installation of copper tubing. First or second shift full time position available.
Requirements: AWS D1.1 Certified MIG welding experience preferred.
