Government

The most important aspects of a government project are the ability to keep costs down, keep projects in budget, and keep equipment energy efficient. And, by the way, everyone must be able to bid them fairly. This is especially true with ASHRAE Standard 90.1 being adopted by more and more states for their new and remodeled facilities.

Systecon is the answer to all of these problems. Systecon has long been the leader in guaranteed performance testing of water management systems. Systecon's testing facility allows the government agent to use performance criteria only as a specification item, secure fair bids, and come to the facility to see the equipment meet the requirements before shipping. With Systecon, this includes control sequence testing and BAS interfaces as well.

Spotlight Job

This chilled water system was needed by an institution that promotes quality and innovation, a perfect fit for Systecon. A major premise for this project was energy conservation. Per their needs, Systecon designed a chilled and condenser water package, as well as a free cooling and condenser water solids removal package.

Since energy conservation was a concern, Systecon developed the free cooling package for the winter. Instead of using chillers, Systecon, along with their consulting engineers, deemed it adequate to solely use cooling towers to cool the water. This will drastically lower energy costs throughout the winter.

Additionally it is important to note that this package is going to be built into a mountain side. Because of it's location in the valley, steam plumes are bound to form on humid days. To avoid the inherent aesthetic and safety problems, Systecon is able to eliminate much through cycling methods of the cooling towers.
